Halloween Festival of Lists: October 19: NINETEEN Houses Of Horror To Avoid At All Costs

I didn't realize how many horror movies have the word house in the title until I started actually counting.  None of them are very appealing as trick-or-treat candidates - or for a weekend in the country, as you might have guessed.
Here's 19, just for starters...

House of Wax
Because Vincent doesn't know when to stop having fun.
House of 1000 Corpses
With your host, Dr. Satan.

House of Frankenstein
Rocking the neighborhood since 1944.

House of Dracula
And HOF's counterpart, since 1945.

The Last House on the Left
Mari's birthday didn't quite go as planned...

The House with the Laughing Windows
...really isn't all that funny.

The Old Dark House
Where you don't question what's for dinner.
Dream House
Because even James Bond gets scared.

 House of Usher
I'll say Mr. Price in the conservatory with the candlestick.

House on Haunted Hill
The party has just begun...

Hausu
There really are no words.
House of the Dead
Directed by Uwe Boll.  Enough said, I think.

House of Dark Shadows
Where vampires lurk 'round every corner.

Black House
What's a little murder between friends, right?
House on the Edge of the Park
Where the good times definitely do NOT roll.
(RIP David Hess!)

The Legend of Hell House
Where Roddy McDowall searches for sanity.

The House by the Cemetery
Fulci, my Fulci. You rocketh my world.
House of Voices
Orphanages are never a good idea.

The House of the Devil
I think that's pretty self-explanatory...
