That Pet Semetary one is awesome. In high school I wrote a paper on the book discussing the time motif. It got an A. Thank you Stephen King.
ReplyDeleteHope you plan on participating in the Scare Me Blogfest on halloween. I mean you really don't have to do anything different as your entire blog fits the category pretty well. So, sign up and hopefully it will send some traffic your way.
LOVE this one, Christine!
ReplyDeletewow. creepy, fun post!
ReplyDeleteAwesome list! My favorites are Bram Stokers Dracula and City of the Living Dead which by the way I think influenced Tarantino for Kill Bill Vol. II, the scene where Beatrix is buried alive.
ReplyDeleteTheres another great scene where the dead rises from their graves...not exactly an exhumation, but Bava's Black Sunday when that guy comes out of his grave...such an awesome resurrection sequence! And also, the one in The Crow, when the Crow resurrects, but I guess that would be a whole other list all together "best resurrection sequences" ;)
Budd: I will certainly check out your blogfest when I get a few spare moments.. that's the only thing bad about doing a month-long feature - I miss so much good stuff because any free time I have I am tweaking (or downright finishing at the last minute) my own lists. But I will take a look!!
ReplyDeleteMarie: Thanks! <3
MrJeffery: Thanks for reading!
TFC: I've no doubt CotLD probably influenced Tarantino - probably more than just a few times ;)
You know, I thought about that Bava one after I'd already had the post completed. I love Black Sunday - great stuff!
