...And now a few words

Often, it doesn't take more than a few words to become a memorable catch-phrase or a one-liner, especially in a horror movie. After all, genre fans have to be the most enthusiastic fans out there, always quoting from favorite horror films. Am I right or am I right?
Many horror movies have lines that seem to define the entire film, rendering them immediately recognizable just from muttering those few words.

Examples, you say?
Well, alright.
Here are some of my favorite two-word phrases. All are from rather popular movies within the genre, but it's hard to be anything other than popular in the case of most of these films.
I'd like to think all are recognizable to most horror fans.

"Abby Normal"

~Young Frankenstein

"Join Us"

~The Evil Dead

"Good Evening"

~Dracula (1931)

"April Fool's..."

~April Fool's Day (1986)

"Get out!"

~The Amityville Horror (1979)

"Show me"

~Christine

"It's Alive!"

~Frankenstein

"Jesus wept"

~Hellraiser

"Here's Johnny!"

~The Shining

"They're here"

~Poltergeist

"Seven days"

~The Ring

"Hi David!"

~An American Werewolf in London

(Okay, I couldn't resist that last one, even if it isn't iconic...)

Thank you for the Let the Right One In score. What gorgeous music. Caused me to linger around FWF even longer than usual :-)

Brian, I love the LTROI score, it's so understated and beautiful.

Will be putting up some Twin Peaks music tomorrow (for a reason) but will return to LTROI soon after:)

Thanks for lingering;)

Young Frankenstein, one of my faves! I could quote that movie on and on and on....one of my favorite lines is: "You mean to tell me that we put an abnormal brain...into a 10 foot tall, 15 inch wide...go-rilla?!"

I also like: "Seda-give! Give him the Seda-give! On the nosy!"
